Neighborhood Night Out/Night to Unite postponed to August 3, 2021

Neighborhood Night Out/Night to Unite postponed to August 3, 2021 - the Morningside Neighborhood Association (MNA) began hosting NNO/NTU in 2005 to celebrate the Morningside Centennial. Last year, with root beer floats and the Morningside Bike Parade, was the biggest and best yet! This year, with COVID safety a priority, the Steering Committee is postponing the 16th annual all-neighborhood get-together to Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Please save the date!

National Night Out / Morningside In the Park - Save the Date (Sunday October 4) - Now cancelled

With COVID-19, National Night Out has been moved from August to October this year and is typically on a Tuesday evening. For northern states this doesn't work out as well with earlier sunsets.

So the Neighborhood Association is planning our replacement, Morningside in the Park, to be held on Sunday October 4th from 3-6 in the afternoon at Weber Park to take advantage of more sunlight.

Event will be BYOE ( Bring Your Own Everything) to allow for physical distancing. The bathrooms will be open but the event will be outside. Please wear recommended face masks.

This is a tentative plan based on current city/state recommendations for gathering sizes and is weather dependent.

Individual blocks/streets are free to have their own Night Out activities on the original National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct 6.
