Please click on the link below for a short survey. The survey is sponsored by the Morningside Neighborhood Association (MNA) and the purpose is to find out what is important to you about this neighborhood.

- Shared at the annual neighborhood meeting
- Communicated to the City of Edina
- Used to plan programs, speakers and events for the neighborhood
All responses are anonymous unless you volunteer your name at the end.

Thank you,
Morningside Neighborhood Association
Neighborhood Night Out/Night to Unite postponed to August 3, 2021 - the Morningside Neighborhood Association (MNA) began hosting NNO/NTU in 2005 to celebrate the Morningside Centennial. Last year, with root beer floats and the Morningside Bike Parade, was the biggest and best yet! This year, with COVID safety a priority, the Steering Committee is postponing the 16th annual all-neighborhood get-together to Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Please save the date!
With COVID-19, National Night Out has been moved from August to October this year and is typically on a Tuesday evening. For northern states this doesn't work out as well with earlier sunsets.
So the Neighborhood Association is planning our replacement, Morningside in the Park, to be held on Sunday October 4th from 3-6 in the afternoon at Weber Park to take advantage of more sunlight.
Event will be BYOE ( Bring Your Own Everything) to allow for physical distancing. The bathrooms will be open but the event will be outside. Please wear recommended face masks.
This is a tentative plan based on current city/state recommendations for gathering sizes and is weather dependent.
Individual blocks/streets are free to have their own Night Out activities on the original National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct 6.

Add Sunday, May 19, 3:00-5:00 p.m. to your calendars for the annual Morningside Neighborhood Association Spring Event + Bike Parade! Our spring party will be held at Weber Park and the children’s bicycle parade will be on Grimes Ave, which will be blocked off to traffic for the event. The bike parade starts at 3:30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded for creatively-decorated bikes! There will be lots of categories in which children can win, so get wild and creative with those bikes — balloons, ribbons, streamers, flowers — nothing is off limits.
Edina Police will have one officer present to meet with neighborhood residents and children, and a few of our local businesses have offered to donate food, drinks, and prizes for our event. In addition to the bike parade, there will be ultimate Frisbee and other assorted games and fun for everyone. The bike parade in Morningside is an old tradition we are starting back up again in 2019. Please plan to come out and get to know your neighbors! Hope to see you there.
Morningside residents are invited to attend a meeting with their state representatives to get to know them and voice thoughts and concerns on topics. Minnesota State Senator Melisa Franzen (49) and State Representatives Heather Edelson (49A), and Steve Elkins (49B), will be at the Edina Morningside Community Church on Sunday, April 14, 1:00-2:00 p.m. You can RSVP to emcucc@emcucc.org or just plan to attend.
Our 2019 Morningside Winter Party at Weber Park was chilly but a lot of fun! People brought games and coloring activities for inside the warming house, and heartier souls braved the windchill and had fun skating on perfect ice. Hot cocoa, coffee, tea, cookies and other treats were shared and enjoyed by all.
